The residence is situated at the entry to the resort, at the foot of the ski slopes and the first ski lifts, and close to shops and facilities. The Altineige residence is linked to the shopping arcade and to the sports' centre by a covered passageway. The residence is at the foot of the Goitschel, one of the finest ski slopes in the resort, and offers a magnificent view of the mountain peaks.

As well as skiing, Val Thorens also provides entertainment and activities and extends its welcome especially to children. Those guests who are arriving by car may park their vehicle in the hotel's car park (fees apply).

The apartments are all fully equipped. They have a kitchenette with fridge, mini-oven, hot-plates and dishwasher, an en suite bathroom with bath or shower and a separate toilet (except the Altineige studio apartments for 2 persons).
