The hotel is centrally situated in the heart of the ancient city, in the "Courtyard Preservation Area" inside an old styled Hutong which means alley in the eastern part of Beijing. It is surrounded by historical buildings built in the Yuan Dynasty, where much of the buildings built duirng the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties are still preserved. It takes only a few minutes walk to the Old bell tower and Drum Tower and Shichahai lake.
This lovely property not only preserves traditional architecture, but also the quiet and artistic ancient way of life for guests to experience. There are Tea Houses in the Courtyard, studies of the ancient classics and an open area for Tai-chi and chess playing.
