Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel is a luxury class new hotel, which opened in November 2001 and will remain open all year. The centre of Athens can be reached in around 1 hour with the airport shuttle service number E95, running every 20 minutes from the airport to the Consitution Square Sintagma and back. The hotel's ninth top floor has a large indoor pool area with saunas, fitness room, and hair salon offering massages and spa services. The rooftop Karavi restaurant is ship-shaped and serves gourmet French and international cuisine. The pool, restaurant, and adjacent lounge offer great views of the airport and/or the surrounding countryside.
