Solar do Castelo is a small mansion from the XVIII century built within the walls of Castel of Sao Jorge on the site of the former Alcaova Palace kitchens. The inner courtyard with garden and cistern are medieval traces that have belonged to the Palace. This unit is the first to be certified as an Eco-Hotel in the city of Lisbon.

This romantic boutique hotel has 14 soundproofed rooms, all equipped with air conditioning, direct dial telephone, free high speed Wireless Internet access, satellite LCD TV, CD/DVD player, safe, Molton Brown bath products, hairdryer and bathrobes.

Likewise, it offers buffet breakfast in Sao Jorge room or in the garden, the pleasant Honour bar, a cosy library and DVD library.
