The township of Omarama is located on the main state highway 8. Approximately 166km (2 hours drive) from Queenstown, and approximately 280 kms (4 hours drive) from Christchurch. A nice country hotel. The local area is world famous for gliding with records regularly set. Many very beautiful glacial lakes and the Mount cook national park in close proximity to the hotel.
