The Riekonlinna hotel stands in the centre of the tiny village of Saariselka, in a raised position offering lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

This is a welcoming hotel which offers high standard of accommodation in an appealing location. Hotel bedrooms are medium sized, designed in typical modern Scandinavian style and are in good condition. Rooms to the rear of the hotel have balconies that overlook a scenic pineforest. Blue and light pine, bright curtains of northern lights colours, large picture frames. The restaurant is located on the ground floor just off the lobby. It is a large room decorated mainly in pink with rustic-style pine furniture. There is normally a large and sumptuous buffet. It has been constructed using modern materials, although the design still retains a traditional look, being best described as chalet style in architecture.
